La Mer’s New Look

Beauty giant La Mer is going where it has never gone before. For the first time ever, La Mer has redesigned the iconic tub of its signature Creme de La Mer in order to celebrate the 5th year of its collaboration with the non-profit organisation Oceana. Oh, and did i mention that its also released in conjunction with World Ocean Day 2010? Yes, that would clearly explain why the label is now blue. Personally, i love this new design and wish that it wasn’t Limited Edition. Unfortunately, poor people like me cannot afford the $545 (USD) that this 3.4 ounce (100ml) baby will cost. But for those lucky ladies who do have the moolah to spend, watch out for its global launch this June.

And FYI, people, Oceana is the world’s largest international ocean advocacy group, and their campaigns promote marine habitat protection, pollution control, responsible fishing and safe seafood practices. World Ocean Day is an official date set by the United Nations that we can use to take the time off and appreciate the ocean’s beauty and important functions in our life on Earth. You can celebrate World Ocean Day on the 8th of June every year.
